Located right in downtown Telluride, the river trail offers a variety of species and habitats to observe. This walk is perfect for families and birdwatchers of all abilities. The starting point is easily accessible from all lodging in Telluride and Mountain Village. The terrain is mostly flat, and the distance covered during our walk can be adjusted to meet your needs.

If you’re looking to spend more time finding different species, this half day tour provides time to travel to different habitats in the region. Tours typically start in downtown Telluride and progress to other locations based on the group’s goals.

Cost: $450 for 1-4 people

Full-Day Custom Birdwatching Tour
A full-day birding tour in Telluride and the surrounding area gives you the time and landscape variety to find the region’s most unique birds. Over seven to eight hours we move through distinct elevational zones, allowing for longer stops at prime sites. If you have any target species or habitats, make sure to list these in the booking submission as I will tailor your full-day route to make the most of regional diversity.
